What I am going to be doing

  Right now most people know that I am going to Korea, but most do not know what I am going to be doing while I am there, other then that I am teaching English.

  I will be living in a city called Ansan.  Imagine the distance that Mississagua is from Toronto, that is how far Ansan is from Seoul.  There is a direct subway line to Seoul from Ansan, so getting to the BIG city will be easy, and also will make visiting others much easier.

  I have a position at a middle school in Ansan.  That means I will be teaching 12-14 year olds.  I am looking forward to this, because that means that there is a higher chance of dialogue with my students, and a lower chance of me going crazy from singing "Mary had a little lamb" for a whole year :)

     So we also have good news.  I have finally gotten my VISA confirmation number, so this weekend I have to convince my parents to take me to get my passport photos taken AGAIN and to get a money order done.. since parents know how to do those things better then I do, and they have a car :)

  Now we just have to get everything sent out, and hope that the interview goes well.

Month till leave

Well, this will be my first post, exactly one month before I will be getting on a plane in Toronto to fly to Korea!

   Its a big step, but there is still a lot to do before I can go. And those are my pray items  :)

The biggest prayer item would be that my contacts can be swift with getting the information to me, and that I don't stress out to much about waiting to get the information from my contacts.  I still have to get my VISA confirmation from them.. and I need that for doing anything else in the whole process.  I also have to still have to go for an interview at the Korean consulate, so prayers are needed for that to go well, and for me to not go crazy waiting for the information.

  Other then that, there isn't much happening yet.  Other then learning to deal with my emotions with this whole leaving thing.  I don't know if I am ready to leave for a year, and I worry a lot about everything, but once I get myself immersed in the culture, I am hoping for the nerves to calm down :)
