I will be living in a city called Ansan. Imagine the distance that Mississagua is from Toronto, that is how far Ansan is from Seoul. There is a direct subway line to Seoul from Ansan, so getting to the BIG city will be easy, and also will make visiting others much easier.
I have a position at a middle school in Ansan. That means I will be teaching 12-14 year olds. I am looking forward to this, because that means that there is a higher chance of dialogue with my students, and a lower chance of me going crazy from singing "Mary had a little lamb" for a whole year :)
If you would like to see the city that I am moving to, here is the link: http://ansan.iansan.net/english/index.asp
This site is in english, so you will be able to click around and actually understand what is being said.
I also have a link for the middle school that I will be teaching at: http://www.wonil.ms.kr/
This site is NOT in english, so enjoy the pictures!
So we also have good news. I have finally gotten my VISA confirmation number, so this weekend I have to convince my parents to take me to get my passport photos taken AGAIN and to get a money order done.. since parents know how to do those things better then I do, and they have a car :)
Now we just have to get everything sent out, and hope that the interview goes well.
